One of the stories that is getting a lot of press today concerns Chen Guangcheng, a Chinese legal activist, who is blind and is currently under house arrest in China.
United States actor, Christian Bale, famous for his role in Batman, recently was in China for the premier of his newest film, The Flowers of War, and attempted to visit Chen because he wanted to shake his hand and tell him what an inspiration he has been to him. During Bale's attempt to meet the imprisoned activist, accompanied by CNN, Bale was denied access and "roughed up" - according to many news reports. Please keep Chen Guangcheng in your prayers and also his family. He has been used mightily to expose the one child policy in China and has suffered brutally at the hands of his captors.
